Sample cover letter for Internship position at P&G
Dear Sir or Madam,
With this letter I would like to express my motivation for Finance Summer Internship in Procter&Gamble.
I am a fourth year student on Faculty of Economics and Business willing to challenge myself through P&G.
Personally, as a highly motivated and proactive individual with a high energy level, I am always inclined to the creation of new ideas, constant learning and innovative solutions. Consequently, I have gained a high academic credentials through the former education in Croatia as same as abroad. During my education, I have especially paid an attention to development of my analytical, collaboration and presentation skills for which I believe that are the key to future success.
As a result of my past efforts, I have passed through a rigorous selection process for internships in PepsiCo and PwC, become a member of The Consulting Club as one of 15 memebers and gained a foreign scholarship. Finally, I have got the honour to be elected in the leadership team of a student organization, after a year being a member.
An opportunity to join P&G team would allow me to prepare myself for a future carrier in finance and help me to become successful business thinker. On the other hand, I am convinced that you will be fully satisfied with my enthusiasm, knowledge and skills.
Therefore, I hope that you will take my P&G application into consideration and finally that P&G will be one of the most interesting and useful experience in my education.

P&G is recuiting through my college. For CMK (customer market research) they are looking for liberal arts students only. At an invitation only info session (where only 50 people showed up), we were given a special code. Everyone who wants to apply for a job with pg uploads their resume to the pg.com website and needs a code. The company obviously wants to keep their "talent pool" small and I have no idea how anyone could break into the business if the company isn't recruiting through their your college.
At the P&G info session, there are 4 people --all alumni from my college. Two of the woman were pregnant and one woman wasn't. The other person was a guy who got a job through a summer internship. The recruiters were all in their 20's. We saw a slide show of the CMK team and it seems most of the people who work for there are all naturally ugly but fit and put a lot of time and money into their wordrobe, hair and makeup. There was one fat woman in the team, though. The clothes that ALL employeers wear are business causal and very colorful. If you have an interview with this company I strongly suggest you wear a print shirt or, if you outfit only has 1 or 2 colors, liven things up with a silk scarf.
